430 stainless steel is a representative steel type of ferritic stainless steel. Its composition is characterized by high chromium and no nickel, with a density of 7.75g/cm3. Its steel is widely used, second only to 304 stainless steel.

Characteristics and purpose

1. It has good corrosion resistance and can resist the corrosion of general atmosphere and various media.

2. Low work hardening rate, easy to bend and form.

3. Good mechanical properties, high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance up to 816 ℃.

4. Through proper processing, such as bright annealing and mirror processing, excellent appearance surface can be obtained and corrosion resistance can be improved.

5. Poor weldability. Proper heat treatment is required before and after welding.

6. Precious alloys such as nickel and molybdenum are not added, which has cost advantage.

430 stainless steel is a general steel with good corrosion resistance, which is used for building interior decoration, household appliances and household electrical appliances. Brittle transition temperature is above room temperature and sensitive to notch, so it is not suitable for making bearing spare parts below room temperature.
