8K is a surface treatment standard for stainless steel. The surface of stainless steel plate is polished, the surface finish is greater than 10, and the surface roughness Ra ≤ 0.05 μ m。 "8" in 8K refers to the proportion of alloy components (304 stainless steel mainly refers to the content of nickel), and "K" refers to the reflectivity level after polishing (level K is the specular reflection level).
Stainless steel plates with surfaces such as 2B, 2D, BA or No.1 are ground and polished to become mirror like surfaces (8K or No.8).
The fineness of stainless steel surface is different. There are 6K, 10K, 12K and other stainless steel plates. 6K refers to rough grinding and polishing, which is a little worse than ordinary mirrors. 10K is fine grinding and polishing. Like ordinary mirrors, 12K is ultra-fine grinding and polishing, which can meet optical applications. The higher the value of K, the greater the brightness, reflectivity, less surface defects, the higher the process requirements and the higher the price.
