Attention should be paid to the storage, transportation and loading and unloading of color coated steel sheet coil

Storage, transportation and loading and unloading are important links that affect the quality of color coated steel coil. If the operation is improper, scratch, imprint, corrosion and other defects may appear in the process of storage, transportation and loading and unloading.

Precautions for storage:

1. The color coated steel coil should be stored in a clean and tidy indoor environment to avoid the erosion of various corrosive media.

2. The floor of the storage site should be flat, free of hard objects and have sufficient bearing capacity.

3. The horizontal steel coil should be placed on the rubber pad, skid, bracket and other devices, and the belt buckle should be facing up, not directly on the ground or transport tools.

4. In order to avoid crush, coils are usually not stacked. When stacking steel plates, the number of stacking layers should be strictly limited, and the plates with large weight and size should be placed below.

5. Products should be stored in a dry and ventilated indoor environment to avoid outdoor storage and storage in places prone to condensation and large temperature difference.

6. Sufficient space shall be reserved in the storage area for lifting equipment.

7. The storage position of steel plate and coil shall be arranged reasonably to facilitate access and reduce unnecessary movement as far as possible.

8. It should be noted that the mechanical properties and coating properties of color coated steel coil may change with the increase of storage time.

Precautions during transportation and loading and unloading:

1. The product should be transported according to the state when it leaves the factory, and the original package cannot be disassembled at will.

2. When loading and unloading, rubber pad should be added between spreader and product to prevent collision. Special spreader should be used when conditions permit.

3. The carriage of the transport vehicle shall be cleaned, rubber pads or other protective devices shall be laid on the bottom plate of the vehicle, and necessary protective measures shall be taken around the carriage to prevent indentation or bruise on the package.

4. The steel coil with vertical package shall also be vertical during transportation, loading and unloading.

5. The product shall be fixed firmly to avoid relative movement or rolling during transportation, resulting in product damage or accidents.

6. The steel plate shall not be dragged when it is taken out to prevent the burr generated during the incision and cutting from scratching the steel plate below. The steel plate should be handled with care, do not touch other hard objects.
