3、Selection of paint coating properties

Paint coating performance mainly refers to coating type, coating thickness, coating color difference, coating gloss, coating hardness, coating flexibility / adhesion, coating durability and other properties.

1 – paint coating type

Topcoat -- there are some differences in hardness, flexibility, adhesion and durability of topcoat. Choose according to the use and environment.

2 – paint coating thickness

The coating thickness is closely related to the corrosion resistance of color coated steel plate, and the corrosion resistance usually increases with the increase of coating thickness.

3 - color difference of coating

Color difference may appear in the production and use of color coated steel plate, which is affected by many factors such as production environment, use time, use environment and purpose.

4-coating gloss

The coating gloss is mainly selected according to the application and usage habits. For example, architectural color coated boards usually choose medium and low gloss, and household color coated boards usually choose high gloss.

5-coating hardness

The hardness of coating is the ability of coating to resist mechanical action such as scratch, friction and collision.

6-coating flexibility / adhesion

The coating flexibility / adhesion is closely related to the machinability of color coated steel plate, which is mainly selected according to the processing method and deformation degree.

7 - coating durability 

Coating durability is the performance of color coated steel plate in the process of use, which is usually measured by the length of service life. The durability of coatings is closely related to the types of coatings, the thickness of coatings and the corrosiveness of service environment.
