Does Color Coated Stainless Steel Fade

The stainless steel itself is corrosion-resistant, the stainless steel performance is better after color coating electroplating, color stainless steel generally will not fade.           

The surface of color-coated stainless steel has faded, mainly due to the following reasons          

1. The processing time of color coating and electroplating is not enough           

In order to save cost, some processing plants will shorten the electroplating time. Theoretically, if the plating time is long, the hardness of the coating will be high and the color of the coating will last for a long time           

2. Application environment of color coated stainless steel           

In coastal areas or in the environment with acid-base imbalance, the color of color coated stainless steel will fade. If it is not treated in time or the treatment method is improper, the color coating will be affected.           

3. Installation and use           

When stainless steel is installed and used, it is damaged due to friction and collision. Or corrosive substances adhere to the surface, color coated stainless steel will fade, and even rust.
