Double grade stainless steel (304/304L,316/316L)

With the development of stainless steel smelting technology, the mechanical properties of stainless steel have been greatly improved. For example, 304L stainless steel produced according to requirements (carbon content is less than 0.03%), whose strength is higher than the lower limit of 304 stainless steel, can be defined as 304 /304l double grade stainless steel, that is, its chemical composition meets 304L, and its mechanical properties meet the requirements of 304 stainless steel. Similarly, there are 316/316l and other double grade stainless steels.

Double grade stainless steel has the high strength of conventional stainless steel and the corrosion resistance of low-carbon stainless steel. Using double brand stainless steel can solve the problem of weakening welding performance of most austenitic stainless steels at present. At present, double grade stainless steel has been widely used, and the prices of double grade stainless steel and low-carbon stainless steel are basically the same.
