Stainless steel cleaning method

There is a layer of chromium rich film on the surface of stainless steel to protect stainless steel from corrosion in natural environment. If the chromium rich film on the surface of stainless steel is damaged, it is easy to rust and corrosion. The stainless steel surface should be cleaned and maintained regularly to prolong the service life.        

1. When cleaning, pay attention not to scratch the surface of stainless steel, and avoid using detergent, steel wire ball and grinding tools containing bleaching ingredients and abrasive.            

2. The dust or dirt on the surface of stainless steel can be washed with soap, weak detergent or warm water. The trademark and film on the surface of stainless steel shall be washed with warm water and weak detergent, and the binder shall be scrubbed with alcohol or organic solvent (ether, benzene).            

3. The oil stains on the surface of stainless steel shall be cleaned with soft cloth, and then cleaned with neutral detergent or ammonia solution or special detergent. The stainless steel surface has bleach and all kinds of acid adhesion, should immediately wash with water, and then use ammonia solution or neutral carbonate soda water solution, and then use neutral detergent or warm water to wash.
