The density of commonly used stainless steel
The calculation of the weight of stainless steel is inseparable from the density (g/cm3) of the stainless steel material. The following are several commonly used stainless steel density tables.
Density | Grade |
7.93 | 304、304L、305、321、201、202、301、302 |
7.98 | 316、316L、347、309S、310S |
7.75 | 405、410、420 |
7.7 | 409、430、434 |
8.0 | 2205、2507 |
8.24 | 254smo |
(1) Stainless steel plate: weight (kg)=length (m) * width (m) * thickness (mm) * density
(2) Stainless steel round rod: weight (kg)=diameter (mm) * diameter (mm) * length (m) * density
Note: Chromium nickel steel density: 0.00623; Chromium steel density: 0.00609
(3) Stainless steel hexagonal bar: weight (kg)=opposite side (mm) * opposite side (mm) * length (m) * 0.0069
(4) Stainless steel square rod: weight (kg)=length (mm) * width (mm) * length (m) * 0.00793
(5) Stainless steel pipe: weight (kg)=(outer diameter mm - wall thickness mm) * wall thickness (mm) * length (m) * 0.02491
(6) Equal angle steel (kg/m): W=0.00785X [d (2b-d)+0.215 (R ²- 2r ²)]
Note: b=side width, d=side thickness, R=inner arc radius, r=end arc radius
(7) Unequal angle steel (kg/m): W=0.00785X [d (B+b-d)+0.215 (R ²- 2r ²)]
Note: B=long side width, b=short side width, d=side thickness, R=inner arc radius, r=end arc radius
