Surface gloss of cold rolled stainless steel plate

Stainless steel products and stainless steel decorations made of stainless steel plates have high requirements on the gloss of the surface. There are three factors to the gloss of the stainless steel surface

1. Cold rolled plate quality

The chromium content of stainless steel is the main factor determining brightness. Generally speaking, the higher the gloss, the better the quality of the cold-rolled sheet. The lower the content of carbon, manganese, and sulfur impurities, the higher the gloss.

2. Polishing 

The original surface of cold rolled stainless steel plate is 2B or BA when it leaves the factory, which produces gloss after being polished by a polishing machine. In this link, the quality of the equipment of the polishing machine and the quality of the polishing wax will have a great impact on the surface gloss of the cold rolled stainless steel sheet.

3. Thickness of cold rolled sheet

The thickness of the stainless steel cold-rolled sheet is between 0.6-1.1mm and the polishing effect is better.

Too thin, the stainless steel plate will deform due to friction,

If it is too thick, the friction of the polishing wheel is not enough, which will affect the polishing effect.
